Louise Amstrup has developed an ongoing relationship with London-based Noel Stewart over several seasons. He is one of a small selection of international milliners who have taken the best of a traditional upper class favourite and reworked it to become an integral part of contemporary fashion. His keen eye for construction, playful use of materials and appreciation for the dramatic effect of a great statement piece has gained him a loyal customer base and celebrity following. With a collection ranging from ready-to-wear to couture and many design collaborations under his belt, Noel has developed a strong signature style taking inspiration from architecture and contemporary art and adding some London grit to a British classic.

Before taking his Masters at the Royal College of Art, Noel was an apprentice at Dai Rees and at Stephen Jones for Christian Dior Couture. He made his mark when Barney's picked up his first collection in 2003 and is now available worldwide at a selection of stockists. Design collaborations include Roland Mouret, Marios Schwabb, Roksanda Ilincic, Erdem, Hussein Chalayan, Diesel, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Oscar De La Renta and of course Louise Amstrup. Kiera Knightly, Lilly Allen, Kylie Minogue and Beth Ditto are loyal fans of his work. Both Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue recognized his fervour for stage presence and commissioned him to create the hats worn in their world tours.

Dazeddigital premieres a short film directed by John Lindquist ahead of the release of Patrick Wolf’s new album, ‘Lupercalia’. Styled by Anthony Stephinson featuring Ksubi and Chronicles of Never.
"In this video portrait directed by John Lindquist (who photographed the album artwork), the musical accompaniment comes from Wolf’s song, “Slow Motion". As Patrick tells it, “It represents finally letting go of my past and being focused on my present and future. I see it as me at 27, engaged to be married and conquering my demons, brushing off the ashes from all my crashes. He continues, “I commissioned these audio visual portraits because I wanted to bring some life back into the digital format. Now with most people buying albums mainly online I didn't want a generation to lose the joy of experiencing artwork. So I wanted to make moving artwork, an artwork booklet that moved for the ipad and laptop generation. So the five Lupercalia video portraits by John Lindquist come at the end of my album as the audiovisual component.”
Lupercalia is released on 20th June

Haynes are proud supporters of Get Tested! a campaign fronted by Gemme Peppe and launched by Boy George in support of the Hepatitis C Trust.

At the centre of the campaign is a series of George's photographic images featuring famous friends including Gizzi Erskine, Sadie Frost, Jimmi Mystery, Matt Horne, Beatrix Ong et al dressed as their favorite 80's icons. Haynes celebrated with the Get Tested! crew last Thursday at the big event that saw George host a night of Jazz duets with subjects and supporters including Adam Ant, Paloma Faith and Josh Weller and the live auction of the Get Tested! images to raise money in support of the campaigns ongoing projects. A tshirt project with designs from yet more friends including Bella Freud, Giles Deacon and The XX runs alongside the campaign, so get one.

Life and business partners Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley apply their luxe maximalist aesthetic to interiors, home wares and reworked traditional furnishings keeping production close to home and reviving small, wonderfully old school, UK based factories.

Designed in-house, collections and prints are inspired by Victorian Hackney in modern times. Watch this space for previews of inaugral collections including Dalston Rose, Queen Bee and Hackney Empire.

House of Hackney showroom appointments and web-sales are not too far off with the official launch and campaign release taking place in late March, details to follow shortly.

It has been one mighty week that started last Thursday with our favorite birthday girl Jaime Perlman, Vogue and www.testmag.co.uk, taking the Haynes ladies on a trek to the serenity of Babington House, heated pool in the forest anyone, Bath nearly challenged Michelle's love for Oz.

From the lovely Somerset we took a train to the Red Gallery in Shoreditch to celebrate with our mates from Bare Bones at the launch of Bare Bones V.

Saturday night was inspired! We again joined amongst others our Bare Bones friends Harry Malt and Niall O'Brien and jewellery designer Duffy at the 1948 space. They are involved in Nikes 'Destroy to Create' event to launch a campaign for the new varsity jacket line. Amidst art and design, Frith Street tattooed, The Gallows played, the women's world champion boxer did her thing. The entire evening was a lesson in how to execute the perfect event - talent, energy and crowd participation. Incredible, there is a trailer out now and a film coming so look out for it.

Ksubi launched their second "Big in Japan" event in Sydney and Melbourne this week to great acclaim - more fashion more music more art more fun. Cutting-edge Japanese and Australian artists participate in the "Big in Japan" cultural-exchange event which took place in one big night! Ksubi curate the event which is sponsored by Kirin beer.

Tuesday saw the Haynes ladies work for the press launch of Boy George's photo exhibition for the Hep C Trusts awareness campaign "Do yourself a favor - Get Tested!" come to fruition at St Martins Lane Hotel. There has been a 300% increase in this fatal disease and people just do not know enough about it. If caught in time there is treatment! You will hear more about this from us. www.gettested.org.uk

Last night, being Thursday, was the launch of the LN-CC store/project www.ln-cc.com in Dalston. Books, fashion, music. More brilliance, congratulations John, Dan, Charlotte and Gary Card www.clmus.com/illustration/gary-card (who designed the space).

The Haynes showroom has been on overtime since SS11 press days in early November with editorial shoots backed up and samples on high rotation. Fashion update to follow but now its Friday night and wine'o'clock.
